The UFO Prevention Society

support and inspiration for quilters to get those unfinished objects organized for good

Have you been abducted by quilty UFOs?

Almost every quilter admits to having at least one Unfinished Object, also known as a UFO. Most have more than 10. Many have more than 25! How many do you have?

Come together for the good of humanity!

If you have a collection of Unfinished Objects in your own personal Area 51 (your UFO storage area), the UFO Prevention Society will inspire you to think through the whys, whats, and hows of getting those UFOs organized and off the shelf. You'll be equipped with the UFO Prevention Toolkit, which includes a UFO decision-making flowchart and project organizers to keep track of every step of your quilt’s journey.

Work at your own pace, and participate as much or as little as you'd like. In addition to the UFO Prevention Society community discussions where you can share your progress, we'll have LIVE quarterly virtual get-togethers to share our successes and to help each other out if needed.

You'll have access to:

  • Downloadable PDFs,
  • Videos,
  • Ongoing challenges,
  • Occasional swaps,
  • Quarterly LIVE interactive Review-F-O Days,
  • Instructions to make your own tin foil hat, and
  • Plenty of ideas for clearing out Area 51!

"Your flow sheet made me realize I had stuff taking up room that I hadn’t reached for in years and never will. You gave me the insight and courage I needed. Thank you."

What have UFOs abducted from you?

Unfinished objects take up precious resources that you could be using to work on projects you enjoy! Imagine how good you'll feel when you get control over your Area 51. You'll have:

  • ⏱️More time to work on the next exciting new project
  • 🥰More quilts released into the wild where people can enjoy them
  • 🌌More space available in your sewing area
  • 🗽Freedom from all those UFOs weighing you down mentally
  • 💵A better sense of which projects to choose next, saving you from spending money on quilt kits, patterns, and/or classes you're unlikely to ever finish.

If you're enjoying neither the process nor the result, you're a victim of UFO abduction!
